Some of us love to fly low and slow - we fly for fun, for the pure enjoyment of it.
And some of us fly with a bit more purpose - get visit a remote office, or a distant client, or to attend a conference. For those of you who fly higher and faster and care a bit more about getting there on time - this site is for you.
What we need to know is already written down, in the FAR's, the AIM, the AM/FD. But what we want to know isn't always written down, but you can find it here. Contributors from all over the country (including you, maybe) have helped to create this collection of local tips and tricks including things like:
- What is the standard IFR departure clearance for this airport? How can I fly that clearance to expedite my trip and make ATC's life easier?
- Where are the 'normal' arrivals to the local class B or C airport flying? How can I avoid them, and thus avoid delays?
- I need to transition across this busy class B airspace. What are the unwritten procedures for getting where I need to go?
For starters, I have created as much content as I can about the northern California area. As we collect content about other parts of the country, we will expand the site to present it all.
